  2. Remove resistor: R1396, R1400, R1402 on the main unit of the radio. 
  3.  
  4. Press and hold down the "MHZ" and "REV" buttons on the front panel
  5. of the radio, while powering on the radio. 
  6.  
  7. Modification is complete. 
  8.  
  9. New frequency:
  10. VHF RX 108 - 180 MHz
  11. VHF TX 136 - 174 MHz
  12. UHF RX 320 - 999 MHz
  13. UHF TX 410 - 470 MHz

  17. The following received from YAESU. In response to a question
  18. regarding skipping memory channels in scan.
  19.  
  20. FT-7100M - Memory Skip Scanning
  21. When you have some continuously-active channels in memories, you may wish
  22. to skip them for scanning, but still have them available for manual 
  23. selection using the Main Dial.
  24.  
  25. To mark a memory to be skipped during scanning, use the following procedure:
  26.  
  27. 1. Recall the memory channel to be skipped.  Note: Memory Channel "1" may 
  28. not be skipped.
  29.  
  30. 2. Press and hold in the V/M key for ½ second (as though you were going
  31. to store this channel into another memory).
  32.  
  33. 3. Press and hold in the TONE key for ½ second. A small "p" icon will
  34. appear to the bottom of the memory channel number, indicating it is 
  35. to be ignored during scanning.
  36.  
  37. 4. To re-enable a "skipped" memory channel, repeat the above procedure:
  38. recall the skipped memory channel using the Main Dial, press and hold 
  39. in V/M for ½ second, then press and hold in the TONE key for ½ second 
  40. to re-enable the channel.
